The test for whether this effect applies is straightforward - would the item have been demolished without that event being played? If not, then the demolition is the result of the event, so Extra Insurance applies.
There's a distinction between "was demolished *by* an event" and "was demolished as the *result* of an event".
The first requires that the event directly cause the demolition. The second requires only that it start the sequence of activity that leads to the demolition.
